REQUEST FOR BIDS
1. The Government of Kenya has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Horn of Africa Groundwater for Resilience Project (HoAGW4RP), and intends to
apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract indicated below:

2. The Water Sector Trust Fund now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Supply and Delivery of Various Groundwater Equipment. More details on the required specifications
are contained in the bidding document.
3. Bidding will be conducted through national competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” dated July 2016, revised 5th edition of September 2023 (“Procurement Regulations”), which can be found in the following website:
https://worldbank.org/procurement and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
4. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from Water Sector Trust Fund using the email address specified below and inspect the bidding document from 0900 to
1600 hours at the address given below (except on Weekends and Public Holidays).
5. The bidding document in English may be downloaded free from WaterFund’s website https://waterfund.go.ke/downloads/tenders by interested Bidders. Eligible and
interested bidders should express interest by way of a written application to the email address below, in order to receive any clarifications or updates on the bid.
6. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 19th July, 2024 at 1000 Hrs. The bids should be submitted in two different packages clearly marked as follows
i) Lot 1: Supply and Delivery of assorted office furniture – Tender No: KEWSTF-332751-GO-RFB a, and
ii) Lot 2: Supply and Delivery of assorted office furniture – Tender No: KE

The bids should be placed in the Tender Box located at 1st Floor, CIC Plaza, Mara Road, Nairobi, Kenya.
7. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of Kenya Shillings One Hundred and fifty
Thousand only (KSh.150,000/-) for Lot 1 and Kenya Shillings One Hundred and seventy Thousand only (KSh.170,000/-) for Lot 2 valid for twenty-eight (28) days beyond the bid
validity period.
8. Attention is drawn to the Procurement Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder’s beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.
