INVITATION TO TENDER (ITT)
NCPB/POLYPROPYLENE BAGS/MAIZE/RT/03/2024- 2025

TENDER FOR SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF BRANDED NEW POLYPROPYLENE BAGS X 50KG FOR
BAGGING MAIZE.
The National Cereals and Produce Board invites sealed tenders for supply and delivery of branded new
polypropylene (PP) bags x 50kg for bagging maize as shown below;
1. NCPB projects to procure 350,000 branded new Polypropylene (PP) bags for bagging maize in
various stations.
2. The above quantities of polypropylene bags shall be distributed to designated NCPB silos as follows: –

3. Tendering will be conducted under restricted procurement method using a standardized tender
document. Tendering is also open to all eligible, qualified and interested Tenderers.
4. Qualified and interested tenderers may obtain further information and inspect the Tender Documents at
the office of the Head of Procurement Services during normal working hours, between 9.00 am and
3.00 pm.
5. Prospective bidders may also download the tender document from NCPB’s website (www.ncpb.co.ke) or
PPIP portal free of charge.
6. Bidders who download the tender document are advised to sign a tender register at the NCPB Head Office,
Procurement Services Department OR send their detailed address using the Email: supplies@ncpb.co.ke or
ncpbsupplies@gmail.com before the tender closing date, to facilitate any further clarification or addendum.
7. The Tenderer shall chronologically serialize all pages of the tender documents submitted.
8. Submission of Tender documents
Completed envelope tender document should be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked in
Bold Letters: “NCPB/POLYPROPYLENE BAGS/MAIZE/RT/03/2024-2025 FOR SUPPLY
AND DELIVERY OF BRANDED NEW POLYPROPYLENE BAGS X 50KG FOR BAGGING
MAIZE’’

and physically deposited in the tender box situated in Nafaka House, Ground Floor, by the Reception
Area, so as to be received on or before 20th September, 2024 at 12.00 noon. Electronic Tenders will
not be permitted /accepted.
9. Tenders will be opened immediately after the deadline date and time specified above or any deadline
date and time specified later. Tenders will be publicly opened in the presence of the Tenderers’
designated representatives who choose to attend at the address above. Late tenders will be rejected.

10. Prices
Offered Price should be inclusive of all taxes, duties, levies and delivery costs to the NCPB depots and
shall remain valid for One hundred and Fifty (150) days from the closing date of the tender.
11. Opening of submitted Tenders
Tenders will be opened promptly thereafter at 12:00 noon on 20th September, 2024 in the presence of
the Tenderer’s or their representatives who choose to attend at NCPB Gilfillan Hall Machakos/Enterprise
roads, Industrial area, Nairobi.
NOTES TO TENDERERS
Valid Tax Compliance Certificate shall be one issued by the relevant tax authorities and valid for
at least up to the tender closing date. All registered Tenderers must provide a valid Tax
Compliance Certificate from the Country of Origin.
