INVITATION TO TENDER
1. Agriculture and Food Authority invites sealed tenders from interested and eligible bidders in the
Tender listed below;

Tender documents with detailed information and instructions can be down loaded from the following website:
www.afa.go.ke or www.tenders.go.ke free of charge.
Enquiries can be made via Email address tenders@afa.go.ke.
Completed tender documents shall be enclosed in plain sealed envelopes, marked with the Tender number and
name and be deposited in the Tender Box located at the reception of the Tea House or Addressed to:

To be received on or before Thursday, 9
th April 2024 at 11.00 a.m. Local Time
Tenders will be opened immediately thereafter in the presence of the candidate’s representatives who choose to attend
at the Agriculture and Food Authority Tea House Ground Floor Conference Hall.
Bidders are advised to regularly visit AFA website. All addenda/ additional information on the tender shall be
posted on AFA website as they become available.
2. Tendering will be conducted under open competitive method National using a
standardized tender document. Tendering is open to all qualified and interestedTenderers.
3. Qualified and interested tenderers may obtain further information and inspect
the Tender Documents during office hours from 0900 to 1500 hours at the address
given below.
4. A complete set of tender documents may be purchased or obtained by interested
tenders upon payment of a non- refundable fees of Kenya shillings One
Thousand (Kshs.1000.00) in cash or Banker’s Cheque and payable to the
address given below. Tender documents may be obtained electronically from the
Website www.afa.go.ke/https://www.tendes.go.ke. Tender documents obtained
electronically will be free of charge.
5. Tender documents may be viewed and downloaded for free from the website
https://www.www.afa.go.ke/https://www.tendes.go.ke. Tenderers who download
the tender document must forward their particulars immediately to tenders@afa.go.ke,

or addendum.
6. All Tenders must be accompanied by a “Tender-Security Declaration
7. The Tenderer shall chronologically serialize all pages of the tender documents
submitted.
8. Completed tenders must be delivered to the address below on 9
thApril, 2024 at or
before 1100 hours. Electronic Tenders will not be permitted.

9. Tenders will be opened immediately after the deadline date and time specified
above or any dead line date and time specified later. Tenders will be publicly
opened in the presence of the Tenderers’ designated representatives who choose to
attend at the address below.
10. Late tenders will be rejected.
