- The Government of Kenya, through the Ministry of Education, State Department for Basic Education has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Kenya Primary Education Equity in Learning (KPEEL) Program and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the ci act for Supply and Delivery of Project Motor Vehicles.
- The Ministry of Education, State Department for Basic Education (KPEEL Project) now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for Supply and Delivery of Project Motor Vehicles, as per the specifications pro’ id [see detailed description in the tender document].
- Bidding will be conducted through national competitive procurement using Request for Bids (RFB) method as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” dated July, 2016 and revised in September, 2023 (5th Edition) (“Procurement Regulations”).
- Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Head, Supply Chain Management Services during office hours from 0800 to 1700 hours at the address given below.
- The bidding document in English may be obtained free of charge by downloading it from the Ministry’s website www.education.go.ke and Public Procurement Information Portal (PPIP).
- Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 20th February, 2025 at 11.00 a.m. EAT. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids should be deposited in the tender box located at Jogoo House ‘B’ Ground floor reception on or before 20th February, 2025 at 11.00 a.m. EAT. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend.
- All Bids must be accompanied by a “Bid Security” of KES 1,000,000 (Kenya Shillings One Million Shillings Only) from a reputable bank.
- Attention is drawn to the Procurement Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder’s beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Owner ship Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.
