TENDER FOR SUPPLY, DELIVERY AND INSTALLATION OF LABORATORY EQUIPMENT 2022 – MOWASCO

MOMBASA WATER SUPPLY & SANITATION COMPANY LIMITED TENDER NOVEMBER 2022 

INVITATION FOR BIDS (IFB) 

The Government of Kenya has received financing from the World Bank towards the cost of Water and Sanitation
Development Project (WSDP) and it intends to apply part of the proceeds towards the payments for the above-mentioned
Laboratory Equipment.
1. The Mombasa Water Supply & Sanitation Company Limited now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified
bidders for supply and delivery of the items.
More details are contained in the bidding documents.
2. Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures specified in the World
Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement of Goods, Works and Non – Consulting Services under IBRD Loans and IDA
Credits & Grants by World Bank Borrowers, January 2021, as revised in July 2014, and is open to all bidders
from Eligible Source Countries as defined in the Guidelines. In addition, please refer to paragraph 1.6 and 1.7
setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.
3. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the address given below; from 0830 hours to
1630 hours’ local time from Monday to Friday, except during lunch hour (1300hours to 1400 hours), during
weekends and public holidays.
4. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be downloaded free of charge from the Mombasa
Water Supply & Sanitation Co. Ltd Website (www.mombasawater.co.ke). Bidders who download the
bidding documents are required to notify the purchaser by email: info@mombasawater.co.ke with
full contact details that they intend to participate, this will facilitate issuance of notifications by the purchaser
to all bidders where necessary. No arrangements have been made for other methods of delivery of bidding
documents.
5. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 1100 Hours EAT on 29th December, 2022. The
packages should be clearly marked with IFB Title and IFB Number and placed in the Tender Box located
outside the Managing Director’s Office. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected.
Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders or their representatives who choose to attend in person.
6. All bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Security (unconditional bank guarantee) as indicated in each respective
bidding document.
