TENDER FOR SUPPLY, DELIVERY, INSTALLATION AND COMMISSIONING OF ASSORTED BLOOD BANK MEDICAL EQUIPMENT IN SELECTED COUNTIES

MINISTRY OF HEALTH TENDER APRIL 2024 

INVITATION TO TENDER

1. The mandate of Kenya National Blood Transfusion Service (KNBTS) is to ensure availability of safe blood
and blood components. This is to be achieved through collection of blood from a safe donor population,
appropriate use of blood and blood components through a safe separation process, testing, safe storage
and distribution while ensuring traceability.
2. The State Department of Medical Services invites sealed tenders from eligible bidders for the Supply,
Delivery, Installation and Commissioning of Assorted Blood Bank Equipment in selected County Ministry of
Health (MOH) facilities.
3. Tendering will be conducted under Open National Tender Procurement Method using a standardized tender
document.
4. A complete set of tender documents may be obtained by interested candidates at Public Procurement Information
Portal www.tenders.go.ke and the Ministry website www.health.go.ke free of charge before the
closing date. Tenderers who download the tender document MUST forward their particulars immediately to
procurement@health.go.ke for registration and facilitate any further clarification or addendum.
5. The Tenderer shall chronologically serialize all pages of the tender documents submitted.
6. Completed tenders must be delivered to Tender box located at Afya House,1st Floor on or before 21st May,
2024 at 10:00am Kenyan Time. ELECTRONIC TENDERS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED.
7. Tenders will be opened immediately after the deadline date and time specified above or any
deadline date and time specified later. Tenders will be publicly opened in the presence of the Tenderers’
designated representatives who choose to attend at the address below.
8. Tenders MUST be accompanied by a Bid Security of either Lots or for the entire tender as follows in Kenya
Shillings Lot1 300,000.00, Lot2 350,000.00 and Lot3 450,000.00 or Kshs. 1,100,000 for all the Three
Combined Lots of the Bid Price from a reputable Bank regulated by the Central Bank of Kenya. Late tenders
will be rejected and returned unopened.
