INVITATION TO TENDER
TENDER FOR SUPPLY, DELIVERY& INSTALLATION OF BIOLOGICAL, PHYSICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES LABORATORY EQUIPMENT

TENDER NO:KARU/OT/002/2024-2025
1. KARATINA UNIVERSITY invites sealed tenders for the Supply, Delivery Installation and
Commissioning of Laboratory equipment.
2. Tendering will be conducted under open competitive method (National) using a standardized
tender document. Tendering is open to all qualified and interested Tenderers.
3. Qualified and interested tenderers may obtain further information and inspect the Tender
Documents from https://www.karu.ac.ke/tenders/ and www.tenders.go.ke
4. A complete set of tender documents may be obtained electronically from the University
Website:
www.karu.ac.ke or PPIP Portal: supplier.treasury.go.ke . Tender documents obtained electronically
will be free of charge.
5. Tender documents may be viewed and downloaded for free from the website www.karu.ac.ke
. OR the Government Public Procurement Information Portal www.tenders.go.ke . Tenderers
who download the tender document must forward their particulars immediately to
procurement@karu.ac.ke to facilitate any further clarification or addendum.
4. Tenders shall be quoted be in Kenya Shillings and shall include all taxes. Tenders shall remain valid
for (120) days from the date of opening of tenders.
5. All Tenders must be accompanied by a Tender Security of Kshs. 100,000 in form of a banker’s bank
guarantee from a reputable bank or Insurance Companies approved by the PPRA and located in Kenya.
6. The Tenderer shall chronologically serialize all pages of the tender documents submitted.
7. Completed tenders must be delivered to the address below on or before Friday 25th October
2024 at 11.00 A.M. Electronic Tenders [will not] be permitted.
8. Tenders will be opened immediately after the deadline date and time specified above or any
dead line date and time specified later. Tenders will be publicly opened in the presence of the
Tenderers’ designated representatives who choose to attend at the address below:
