1.0 Introduction
Safaricom PLC, the leading mobile services provider in Kenya, boasts a steadily growing subscriber base. The company is consistently expanding and upgrading its systems and processes to align with the evolving needs of its customers. In pursuit of this objective, Safaricom continually seeks partnerships with competent and reputable suppliers and service providers to fulfill various requirements.
To this end, Safaricom intends to engage services of a reputable supplier for the SUPPLY, INSTALLATION, TESTING, COMMISSIONING, INTEGRATION, MIGRATION, TRAINING, WARRANTY AND MAINTENANCE SUPPORT SERVICES FOR A ROAMING VAS MANAGEMENT SYSTEM.
2.0 Scope
The scope of the solution will constitute but not limited to:
- a)Steering of Roaming
- b)Border Roaming Gateway
- c)Roaming Messaging
- d)Call & short code correction
- e)Gateway Location Register
- f)Any other VAS roaming component in your portfolio.
The full details of the scope will be provided in an RFP (Request for Proposal) that will be sent out to the successful suppliers shortlisted through this EOI process.
3.0 EOI Requirements for the bidders
Interested bidder should demonstrate their suitability and is therefore expected to share detailed
responses showcasing the firm’s capacity and experience in the scope.

B. Overall firms’
experience |
Demonstrate firm’s capacity and experience in delivering the supply, installation, testing, commissioning, integration, migration, training, warranty, and maintenance support services for Roaming VAS Management Solutions for a telecom company.
Share examples of at least three (3) customers where you have deployed Roaming VAS solutions in the last five (5) years in the format on Table 1 below. (Support your stated reference by providing supporting documents e.g., Purchase Orders or contracts or award letters or reference letters, etc. to support the details in the table). |
