Gulf Power Limited (“GPL”), invites bids (each, a “Bid”) from interested companies (each a “Bidder”), for supply of Heavy Fuel Oil (the “Fuel”) to be delivered to its power plant located at Athi River in Machakos County, along Nairobi Mombasa Highway, at LR No 29621 & LR No 29622. The Fuel is required to operate ten (10) medium speed diesel engine generator sets of Wartsila 20V32 type with a total nominal capacity of 80.32 MW.
The tender document containing the detailed terms and conditions of the tender may be obtained by interested bidders upon payment of a non-refundable fee of KES 5,000 via Bankers cheque in favour of GULF POWER LIMITED prior to the Deadline (hereinafter defined) from Gulf Power Limited from 19th January 2023 (but excluding Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays) between 09:00 am and 04:00 pm at their offices located at:

The Bids shall be submitted in accordance with the terms and conditions set forth in the tender document no later than 2nd February 2023 at 11:00 am (the “Deadline”) and addressed to:

and physically deposited at the reception desk of Gulf Power Limited at the above-mentioned
address. All Bid documents received will remain sealed until the time of their opening. Bids will
be opened on 2nd February 2023 at 11:30 am at the above-mentioned address in the presence
of such Bidders’ representatives who choose to attend. Any Bid received after the Deadline
for submission of Bids will be rejected and availed for collection during business hours at the
reception desk of Gulf Power Limited at the above-mentioned address.
