1.0 The Government of Kenya has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Secondary
Education Quality Improvement Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under
the contract for procurement of ICT and Video Conferencing Solution.
2.0 The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the
following contract:

3.0 Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding procedures as specified in the World
Bank’s Regulations: Procurement of Goods, Works and Non – Consulting Services under IBRD Loans and
IDA Credits & Grants by World Bank Borrowers dated July 2016 (“Procurement Regulations”) and is open
to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Guidelines.
4.0 Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from Kenya National Examinations Council,
Head of Procurement at New Mitihani House – South C, 6th floor, Email: procurement@knec.ac.ke and
inspect the bidding document during office hours 0800 to 1700 hours (E.A.T) at the address given below.
5.0 The bidding document in English may be downloaded from the KNEC Website www.knec.ac.ke or
http://supplier.treasury.go.ke/site/tenders.go/index.php.Those wishing to obtain a hard copy, a
complete set of bidding documents in English may be obtained upon payment of a non – refundable fees
of KES 1,000.00 (Kenya Shillings one thousand only by Bankers Cheque) which should be presented to
the accounts office at New Mitihani House – South C, 5th floor for issuing of an official receipt. The receipt
should then be taken to the Procurement Office on 6th floor, for recording and issuance of the bid document.
6.0 Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 15th March 2024 at 10.00 am (E.A.T).
Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the
presence of the bidders’ designated representatives and everyone who chooses to attend at the address
below on 15th March, 2024 at 10.00 am (EAT).
7.0 All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of Kshs.200,000.00.
