STATE DEPARTMENT FOR ENERGY

INVITATION TO TENDER
  1. The Ministry of Energy invites sealed tenders from eligible candidates for Construction, Testing and Commis­sioning of 60m3 Institutional masonry biogas plants, using cow dung as the feedstock. The works will be carried out in Three (3) lots: –
Lot 1 – Kianyaga High School Kirinyaga County
Lot 2 – Chinga Boys High School Nyeri County
Lot 3 – Kapsabet Girls High School Nandi County
  1. Tendering will be conducted under open National competitive method using a standardized tender docu­ment. Tendering is open to only AGPO group (Youth Women and persons with disability). Bidders can tender for more than one lot BUT will not be awarded more than one (1) lot.
  2. A complete set of tender documents may be purchased or obtained by interested tenderers upon payment of a non- refundable fees of Kenya shillings one thousand only in cash or Banker’s Cheque and payable to Principal Secretary, State Department for Energy. Tender documents may also be obtained by downloading from the Website(s) www.energy.go.ke ,www.tenders.go.ke. Tender documents obtained electronically will be free of charge.
  3. Tenders shall be quoted in Kenya Shillings and shall include all taxes. Tenders shall remain valid for 150 days from the date of opening of tenders.

Completed tenders must be delivered to the address below on or before 17th  April, 2024 at 10.00 A.M. Electronic Tenders will not be permitted.

Tenders will be opened immediately after the deadline date and time. Tenders will be publicly opened in the presence of the Tenderers’ designated representatives who choose to attend.
