UPDATE ON ROLLOUT OF EXCISE STAMPS FOR COSMETICS AND BEAUTY PRODUCTS 
Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) would like to notify taxpayers and the public that
pursuant to our Public Notice on “Invitation to a Stakeholder Engagement on the Rollout
of Excise Stamps for Cosmetics and Beauty Products”, KRA conducted stakeholder
engagements with manufacturers, importers and other stakeholders on the roll out of
excise stamps for cosmetics and beauty products which was scheduled for 1st July
2023.
Following the engagements, KRA received a number of requests to reschedule the roll
out date, to allow for adequate preparation by the manufacturers and importers and to
address issues that were raised during the stakeholder engagements.
KRA therefore wishes to inform manufacturers, importers and other stakeholders
involved in the distribution and supply of cosmetics and beauty products that the rollout
has been rescheduled to a later date which shall be communicated in due course.
